January Weight Loss Update: 5 Things that Helped Me Lose Weight

Let me start off by saying no matter what my weight is, I’m going to make the best of it. Even though I can make it “Do what it Do” doesn’t mean I still don’t want to get back to my “Happy” size and or weight. My entire closet is filled with clothes for my Happy size. I think we all have a Happy size.

In October after my trip to Turks and Caicos where I drunk and ate around the clock, I was over it. I was at my highest weight outside of being pregnant. I was actually wasn’t that far away from my delivery weight. That’s when I told myself I had to do something. I did. I ate right and shed a few pounds in just two weeks. Then Thanksgiving came. I threw it all out the window. Then the holidays came and I experienced seasonal depression for a couple of weeks. Food was my comfort. I gained everything I lost back and then some. I could only wear sweatpants. I was over it. So I decided it was time for me to get it together.

Spicy Turkey Slaw

I’m finally getting around to documenting my latest viral IG story recipe. So many of you have made it just by watching my stories. Here it is! My bootleg cracked slaw recipe. I came up with this concoction because all the cracked slaw recipes I found were too complicated. If you watch me cook, I just want it to be good and fast. This recipe has been a staple in my weight-loss journey. It’s lean, lowfat, low carb and super tasty. It is spicy so if you don’t like spicy, you’ll have to adjust and I can’t promise it will have the same delicious taste.

Get Fit with Me

That train is never late… New Year, New Me! Yes, I’m on that! The new year encourages a fresh start. We can start over any day but something about round out the end of the year makes us feel like we have a clean slate and I’m here for it. I’ve been struggling to get back to my pre-baby weight from both Harper and Peyton. That may never happen but I’m still determined to be in the best shape for ME and fit back in to the clothes in my closet.

7 Tips to Lose Weight While Feeding Your Family

I’ve been MIA for few days. I took the girls to Chicago for to spend some time with my mom. This was my first time traveling by myself with two kids and I don’t recommend it. Thank God I didn’t lose anyone and we made it back home in one piece. After stuffing my face with Chicago style pizza and Portillos, I’m back on my weight loss plan. It’s hard to lose weight. Throw in two kids and a husband that is looking in your face every night at dinnertime, it can feel impossible. I’ve managed to keep Peyton and Mister’s stomaches full while I’m losing weight. Diet Diaries: What I’m Eating

My weigh-loss plan has been going awesome.  If you haven’t heard, I’m doing Weight Watchers with Oprah (in my head).  The Weight Watchers plan has always worked for me.  I love bread and pasta.  Weight Watchers allows me to keep eating the things that I love.  I shared last week my diet tips.  This week I’m sharing my favorite Weight Watchers meals.  Once I find something I like and helps my waistline, I’ll keep it on repeat.  ww meals
