It’s been a month since my mom passed away. It still seems surreal. The person that you talk to every single day of your life and the person you can count on no matter what is gone. To say I miss her is an understatement. A piece of me is gone.
Being a mother is hard work. The job doesn’t come with a manual or instructions. You work over a hundred hours a week with no pay. Somehow we all manage to keep our kids alive and happy every day. When I think of all that we do for our families, I know there is a God that gave us superpowers because how else could we do this? This year I wanted to highlight some of my mom friends that are pursuing their dreams and crushing goals all while taking care of their children. They’ve also have been kind enough to share their number one tip for pursuing their dreams while taking care of their children.

My mother wasn’t the typical homemaker type of mom. I was lucky to get a home-cooked meal on Sundays. She worked long hours and sometimes two jobs to make sure I had everything I needed. Even though I’ve taken a different route in my motherhood journey, that never made her any less of a mother to me. It takes a strong woman to be a mother or mother figure in someone’s life. Motherhood is labor intensive, long hours, and with lots of sacrifices. Moms deserve to be celebrated on Mother’s Day and every other day. What better way to show appreciation than with diamonds. Hallmark always knows how to make a mom feel special for Mother’s day with their beautiful cards. This year Hallmark is giving moms more with the Hallmark Diamonds Heart of Hallmark Collection for JCPenney.
It’s almost Mother’s Day! I can’t believe I am a mother of two this Mother’s Day! H&M knows that being a mom is a tough job and has introduced some uber cute Mommy & Me tees. Who doesn’t want to coordinate with their kids?
