I like to consider myself somewhat of an eye cream connoisseur. I’ve been using eye creams consistently since my mid 20’s. I didn’t start using them to fight the war against wrinkles, but to hydrate my eye area. I had a few makeup artists tell me the skin around my eye area was extremely dry. I’ve been hoarding eye creams ever since. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that I barely have fine lines or wrinkles in my eye area… well outside of the idea that “black don’t crack”. Since eye creams can get on the pricey side, I thought I would share some of my favorites that you should try before making that commitment.

The mad dash for back to school is well underway. Peyton actually started 2nd grade this Monday. I’ve had so much going on these last few weeks that getting ready for back to school took a back seat. With just days to spare, Peyton and I headed to OshKosh, our one stop shop, where I know I would find super cute clothes in stock for back to school. This year I let Peyton do the back to school shopping. Check out her adorable video of her shopping experience at the OshKosh store. Also, keep reading to find out how you can save 20% off your back to school shopping.
Today is Peyton’s first day of 2nd grade! Time flies. She’s already starting off strong with an advanced math and reading class. Who says you can’t be fly and smart at the same time *flips hair*. I’m so excited for Peyton and looking forward to an amazing school year. The girls are celebrating back to school with this “old school” look.
I’ve been hustling hard to get Peyton ready back to school. I’ve been cleaning out drawers and closets, shopping, stocking the fridge, hair, and nails. I can’t believe that it takes so much work to get them ready. Before the madness begins, I wanted to share my new back to school outfit with you. This is my outfit for the bus stop, dropping off items at school and mainly every day in general. I always say, when you want to be comfortable but want to look put together, cute workout clothes always does the trick. When in doubt, work it out.

It’s that time of year! Back to school is that crazy time of the year where us moms are running around like crazy looking for 200 glue sticks, matching socks and seeing how long our kids can wear those new shoes that you bought before they had a summer growth spurt. Not to mention getting ready to run the children back and forth to school and activities. Having the best wheels for back to school can make for a great school year. Peyton had the opportunity to review of the Honda CR-V, one of Kelley Blue Book’s best family cars of 2017. Watch the video below to see what Peyton thinks about Honda CR-V.
