I’m still on a high from the Dr. Miracle’s Feelin Myself Weekend during the ATL stop for OTRII just a couple of weeks ago. Dr. Miracle’s pulled out all the stops for 3 lucky winners and their guests for an action-packed Bey & Jay weekend. During that weekend I had the opportunity to host an amazing conversation over a VIP dinner by Chef Shaw Osbey. We talked about our healthy hair journeys as well as self-care. I wanted to continue the healthy hair conversation online and share my favorite Dr. Miracle’s products as well as new additions to their collection. Check out what’s in my bag.
Labor Day is behind us and it’s now NYFW! Do y’all still get hype for NYFW? I participated in NYFW early on in my blog career going to LuckyFabb and a few private events. It was exciting to put together outfits and run around NYC during this time. I haven’t been back since. Seems as if things have changed. Today I’m pretending that this is what I would be wearing if I was at NYFW.
Happy September! September is a busy month for me because you have Labor Day weekend in addition to a lot of family birthdays to celebrate. Both my mom and Harper have September birthdays. This year my mom turns 80! We celebrated her birthday this past weekend in Chicago. Harper’s is on September 17th and I still don’t have concrete plans *face palm*. September marks that time of year where I want to break out the jeans and boots (even though it’s still hot). Peyton is rocking an adorable fall transition outfit to kick off September.
Labor Day weekend is the time where I switch from full-blown summer threads to fall transition looks. Since it’s still scorching in September you can’t go full on fall fashion just yet. In the meantime, you just need a few key pieces like my new Suakoko Betty kimono.
Now that the kids are in school and the September issues are out, I’ve got fall fashion on the brain. I refuse to buy any more shorts or dresses for the year. This time of year can be challenging to dress for. It’s too hot for jeans and pants but the change in temps from the morning, noon and night can have you reaching for a jacket. Here’s how we’re planning to transition to fall.
