I like to consider myself somewhat of an eye cream connoisseur. I’ve been using eye creams consistently since my mid 20’s. I didn’t start using them to fight the war against wrinkles, but to hydrate my eye area. I had a few makeup artists tell me the skin around my eye area was extremely dry. I’ve been hoarding eye creams ever since. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that I barely have fine lines or wrinkles in my eye area… well outside of the idea that “black don’t crack”. Since eye creams can get on the pricey side, I thought I would share some of my favorites that you should try before making that commitment.

It’s that time of year! Back to school is that crazy time of the year where us moms are running around like crazy looking for 200 glue sticks, matching socks and seeing how long our kids can wear those new shoes that you bought before they had a summer growth spurt. Not to mention getting ready to run the children back and forth to school and activities. Having the best wheels for back to school can make for a great school year. Peyton had the opportunity to review of the Honda CR-V, one of Kelley Blue Book’s best family cars of 2017. Watch the video below to see what Peyton thinks about Honda CR-V.
We all know that edges ain’t loyal. I lost all my edges (and more) after I had Harper about a year and a half ago. You can read about it HERE. I’m happy to report that my edges have returned *praise break*. It was a long journey of trying to cover up my bald spots without wearing a wig. I did try rocking a wig once but I kept moving it around like I was wearing a hat…not a good look when you’re in public. This year I’m letting it all hang out this summer. I’ve been weave and braid free for over a month. I know that doesn’t sound long but with two girls, trying to work out and a busy social calendar, it seems like forever. Because I’m a lazy naturalista, my go to style is a low or high bun. I just wash, brush and go. With that being said, I’ve been going through a lot of gel and edge control. I thought I would share my favorites.
When you have a family it can be tough to get everyone on a routine. They say when you start a routine, it will become a habit. I wish that was true for bedtime routines. Outside of bedtime routines, I’m crushing it with skincare and beauty routines in my house. With the help of our favorite lotion, Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant Lotion, I’m teaching my girls by example how to take care of their skin.

As much as I love to try new products, it can be hard to find ones you trust. There are only a few products that I use that I would also use on my girls. Sometimes you just have to go back to the basics with pure and clean products like Ivory Soap. I thought I would remind you why Ivory is a gentle and pure choice for your entire family! Now through the end of the month (June 30), you can stock up on Ivory 21 oz. Body Wash (Original and Aloe) and Ivory 8-Bar Original Soap at Family Dollar at a reduced price.
